Bay Area Opti Expert

Anyone have any recommendations for a top notch Opti diagnostian in the Bay area? I have a persistant high speed miss(5400 and above) on my HPDE track driven 94 LT1 for the last two years. Tried the normal stuff based on advice I have read here but am willing to pay a bonafide pro to track this down.

Have you considered posting in the Regional Enthisiasts (Southwestern) forums?

The Opti is just two different systems in one case. The high voltage part is no different than a conventional distributor, and anyone with an ignition 'scope should be able to analyze it. The other part is the cam position sensor, sending data to the Opti. That can also be analyzed on a scope, or with a frequency counter.

The high speed miss could also be related to the fuel system, or mechanical problems. Have you already ruled those possibilities out?

Nick at Newtech dyno'ed my car(292 RWHP) and told me that the miss was electrical in nature as the air fuel ratio was not indicative of a fuel issue. Both are great shops and I have heard nothing but good things about them, but both are LSX specialists. As for completely ruling out mechanical or fuel issues, I can't say that I am 100% sure that they are not the cause. Thanks for the feedback.
