battery teminals
battery teminals top mount?
I am having troubles keeping my battery terminal to stay connected. i have tried adding a washer to the screw but it is still loosing connection. and i cant start the car unless i mess with the connection and its not charging right causing me to jump the car. has anyone switched to top mount connection? my battery has both so i could just use that. anyone have any suggestions as to a good way to do that thanks.

If it is the battery threads that are stripped, I have seen adapters for converting a top post to female threads, so that you can use your side mount cable.
If it is the cable bolt that is stripped, you can buy a replacement bolt. Both should be available at your local auto supply.

battery threads look fine just bought it last month almost no use. both terminal bolts are new. i have found the adapters the only problem with them is with the adapters i dont have enough wire to reach the top mounts. i am thinking about just adding in a little wire but i dont know if that would be a good idea or not.
There are some small tabs on the part of the cable terminal that contacts the battery. You might try to pry them out a little if they have been crushed flat. Don't overtighten the bolts or you will strip the battery.
the tabs are still out. i had a little better luck adding a washer. i am going to buy another washer tommorow and see if i have any luck that way. or i might end up spending 10 dollars to get the parts to make it to the top mount terminals. just wondering what anybody else had done for a problem like this.
Im having the same problem cept my probles isnt at battery, its the little port off of the battery where you hood the ascessories up at, it gets loose and starts throwing stuff off and even killing my car. Just gotta get it to a good connection
