What ever you get DO NOT get an Energizer!!! I got on ebecause I was being too cheap and didnt want to spend the money for a good one. I would recomend a Die Hard or something like that. Good luck.

If you decide to get an Optima, get a yellow top one. My red top got completely drained once and it never recovered. Another person local to me had the same problem with his red top.

take it back and get a new one if your red top does that.

My red top was damaged pretty good in my crash, and sure enough took it back (mostly to see if it was still ok to use) and they gave me a new one.
Optima has a great warrenty

Get the Optima Red top. I bought mine at Costco near Willowbrook Mall for under $100

They are excellent batteries.

Personally, I've used Walmart batteries the last three times I needed new ones (Firehawk, 92 Vette, 99 Tahoe). I think they run about $50 for the top of the line one with extra power and 2 or three year free replacement (6 or 7 year prorated total warranty). Convenient and inexpensive, and unless you are going with an Optima or AGM type battery, then a battery is a battery is a battery.

Optima

Ive had an Optima Red Top for over 2 years, i live on Manhattan, and my car is at my parents house in Long Island, im only there like once every two months, but it starts up the first crank everytime, i also have a lot of stereo equipment, and auxilary power sources. My suggestion is the red or yellow top optima
