new reluctor ring for gear swap?

i know this should be in the drivetrain section but im changing from 3.23's to 3.73's and the car has over 100,000 miles on it just need to know if i need to change it or not any help will be appretiated

I think the only time you have to change the reluctor ring is when stepping up to 3 series from a 2 series gear.

I'm not 100% on that though.

Don't ask SLP though, they'll sell you one even if you don't need it. I have TCS (4-channel ABS = NO reluctor ring in the housing, there's one by each wheel) and they told me I needed a reluctor ring.

You do not have to change the reluctor gear when you go from a 3.23 to a 3.73. As stated above the only time it is changed when you change from a series 2 carrier to a series 3 carrier or vice versa.
