Battery Choice -- Red or Yellow

I've done a search, but haven't found any good conclusive information that I need. I'm running a Head/Cam car, and obviously it needs a battery. I'm also running a smallish Alpine V12 amp (200 RMS I believe) and an electric WP. Which battery would be better suited for me?? the car's not a daily driver, and I need one that can hold a good charge for weeks at a time when I go overseas.

According to the Optima web site,
http://www.optimabatteries.com/using...cationsRed.asp
they would recommend the yellow top (Deerp Cycle) battery if you leave it for weeks at a time with a car allarm engaged, but the Red top if you have nothing on causing a slow drain.

No alarm to drain. I just picked up a Red Top at Advance Auto earlier for $109. Summit be damned, that's the best price I've seen for a red top yet.

I will only use red top from now on. I had a junk yellow and it only lasted 5 years. Before i had a red and it lasted over 7 years-that's when i sold the car with the red top in it, it was in 2 different vehicles, and it was driven home on (3 1/2 hours) with the alternator going out. Red Top all the way!
