Basic Suspension Mods

I already have SFC's and a STB, both from BMR. I was looking into a new panhard rod and a set of new lower control arms all with poly-bushings. My tires are ok and my shocks are good....

Are these mods worth the money?

Personally my next mods would be swaybars. But yes I think LCAs and PHB are worth the money.

I would definitly get the LCA's. It all depends on what type of racing you are going to do. If you want straight line racing, then a panhard will not be as benificial as something else, but for auto-crossing then it would be helpful. It is also good for a lowered car.

I would recomend a TQ arm for straight line performance. It will also benefit in auto-crossing. BMR products are awesome. I would highly recomend them.

Best all around bangs for the buck: LCAs and an adjustable torque arm...whether its drags or autocross...imho pinion angle is key..with the adj. torque arm you can adjust the pinion angle starting with neg 2 deg in relation to driveshaft in a street car...you will see huge traction gains...if your car is lowered you will need relocation brackets to get rear of the control arms back to a point lower than the front of the arms...

What about relocation brackets? are they needed? I think my car is a little lower then stock, only by an inch or so.

What if my car was stock hieght? would it matter?

Thanks

on the sphon website they claim gains of 1 tenth in the 60ft can be had on non lowered stock height cars, which then could result in 1.5-2 tenths of your quarter mile run.

For straightline, I'd go LCAs and adjustable torque arm before panhard rod. If you're more into twisties, then panhard rod, sway bars, then torque arm and LCAs.

Relocation brackets will help whether your car is lowered or not. They serve a better purpose on lowered car because they fix suspension problems created by the drop (which usually causes NASTY wheelhop). If you have a stock rear, you can get the bolt-ons...an aftermarket rear will more than likely require weld-ons.
