I'm not too sure but probably a good 140-150 lbs. It took 3 people of average height and build to lift it unless we're all just very weak.

On a scale that was accurate to within .01%, a 2 bolt LT1 block weighed in at 107 pounds with main caps and main bolts

I havent weighed mine yet... Though I had my brother ubolt it from the engine stand And I carried it to my pickup bed. So it cant be too heavy. Prolly 100-150lbs. I am in construction though, so I lift 70-200lbs items all day long, so it may differ for others. It's defiantly heavy for one person.

If you figure 200 lbs with packaging you can get a trucking estimate. Up to 300 lbs. it might be the same. Consider strapping it to a small wooden skid. It's easier to handle with a forkllift and will probably get better handling.

Ask the trucking company for shipping cost either to the business where it will be worked on, or to the nearest terminal where it can be picked up if it's going to a residence. Consider shlepping it to the terminal nearest you to save a one-time pickup cost. Also, if you are shipping it to a business, ask them if they have a common carrier (trucking company) they have a freight deal with. It could save you money. It may have to go "collect" (they pay), but they might accept this billing IF you send them the money at the same time you ship the block. Talk with them.

Good luck.

You need to talk to the guy who certified that scale! They are ~180lbs, more or less the same as every other iron small block Chevy. The range for iron small blocks is ~167lbs for the short deck race block to a bit over 200lbs for some of the HD Bowtie blocks. Those weights include the main caps. Aluminum gen I blocks are in the 90-100lb range.
