Bare block wieght?
Re: Bare block wieght?
I havent weighed mine yet... Though I had my brother ubolt it from the engine stand And I carried it to my pickup bed. So it cant be too heavy. Prolly 100-150lbs. I am in construction though, so I lift 70-200lbs items all day long, so it may differ for others. It's defiantly heavy for one person.
Re: Bare block wieght?
heres a link i found. a 90 model 350 block weighs 163. so the LT1 is probably in that ballpark.

Ask the trucking company for shipping cost either to the business where it will be worked on, or to the nearest terminal where it can be picked up if it's going to a residence. Consider shlepping it to the terminal nearest you to save a one-time pickup cost. Also, if you are shipping it to a business, ask them if they have a common carrier (trucking company) they have a freight deal with. It could save you money. It may have to go "collect" (they pay), but they might accept this billing IF you send them the money at the same time you ship the block. Talk with them.
Good luck.
