Banjo Bolt threading size?

For the steam pipe. I have heard that it 1/4 NPT. Seems to be right. Any comments?

Re: Banjo Bolt threading size?

Shoebox has the GM part #, but not the thread size. Listing indicates it is a discontinued part:

1993-1997 coolant steam pipe bolts - PN 12552974 - discontinued

Maybe with the part # you can find more info.

The bolts are .25-18 NPSF special. That means that is a straight pipe thread, rather than tapered. People that make up their own replacement hoses use 1/4 tapered fittings to go into the head.
