Badly over heated my 95 Z, is it ok??

It was rainy cold weather and i was like "no way it got that hot that fast" so i called it bluff tilll i checked it, the car ran fine but it was boiling itself apart, i filled it and limped it home, it was past 260, you guys think its ok or does it have warped heads and the works??? I cranked it the next day and it sounds fine but i wanna know how these cars handle heat, my gen 1 small blocks hardly ever crack...???

It should be okay...just open the radiator cap and start it up to see if it overflows. If it does you have blown your head gasket. If it overheated I would clean your radiator, buy a new thermostat and radiator cap and put fresh new coolant in. make sure it bled real good, these damn reverse cooling engines are a pain to bleed.
I have had mine in the red a few times and all is well (knock on wood)

As long as you caught it right away, you should probably be fine.

Check your water for oil and your oil for water.

Same thing for me.The next day i overheated, the car was still starting and running perfectly but...

After a couple of days it begin to smell coolant a little bit. After another couple of days it begin to make white smoke. And 3 weeks later the low coolant light pop up and my car was making a big white smog.

Result:Warped head and of course blown head gasket.
