Bad optispark?

Hi, ive been having trouble starting my LT1 lately, it will click and thats it. It wont turn over, seems like its not getting any spark. Is it a bad optispark or bad starter? Its my only car, and I cant have it doing what it did today. Thanks.

What's your battery charge like? How many miles on the Alt and Starter. If it will start eventually how does it run. If it runs without surging generally acting naughty, it may not be your opti.

The starter has about a thousand miles on it. Its brand new. Alt has a few. Cant honestly say. But once it starts its golden. One thing I should have mentioned, when I would go to start it it will click once, and thats it. Battery is fine, all the lights come on. Its probly a bad connection with the starter. Im gonna pull it out tommorow and have a look. When I think about it, its probly not the opti. The motor doesnt even turn over.

My vote is battery. If the lights come on, it doesnt mean the battery is "good" just not "dead"

I would check the terminals on the battery. Make sure they are making good contact. I've run into this same problem on several different cars, almost always a dirty terminal.

Yeah another vote for checking terminals on the batter and making sure they are tight. Also check the wires on your starter for the same thing. A loose connection can sometimes make it click or not want to start. Other than that make sure the charging system is good. By no means does a dead opti make it *click*
