Bad Opti.... Cap & Rotor or Optical Sensor Backside?

I have a bad opti that got wet I guess, which part of the opti do you think went bad? The cap and rotor or the backside which has the optical sensor? I just wanted to know because I have a cap/rotor laying around I want to put on to see if it will fix it, if you guys says its the optical side I'll just wait. Opinions?

If you have power out of the coil, then it is the cap and rotor that is the problem.

My old '94 Z got wet a few times and died, but then restarted after a while.

If there is damage to the optical sensor, you will get codes for it. (P0372 for high res pulse, P1371 for the low res). No codes for the high voltage section.
