bad opti?

Ive had a reoccuring problem of my 93z28 stalling out while driving, and then not starting back up right away. Sometimes it will restart in 10 minutes sometimes 30, sometimes i need to wait a couple hours. So far I have replaced my fuel pump, fuel pump relay, fuel filter, ignition coil, ICM, plugs and wires have roughly 6k on them. Does this sound like a bad opti? I am running out of ideas to what else it could be, any help is appreciated.

I also have the typical LT1 oil leak out of the front and back of the intake, could oil getting onto the opti have something to do with this?

x2 if you have tried all else. Had the same symptoms once, opti was heat soaking and shutting down.

Re: bad opti?

Have you scanned it for codes? DTC 16 for the Opti does not turn on the SES light.

Re: bad opti?

Do I need the car to act up for the code to be present or will it be there no matter what its doing when I scan?

Re: bad opti?

The PCM will store the code. You can pull it anytime.
