Bad Misfire

I have a Joe O. cam and have had trouble getting it tuned. I got a program in it, but the damn thing would run really bad (misfiring) for 5 minutes, then it would clear up and run good. This happened everytime I started the car. I just recently I had it brake down on me and I replaced the opti and noticed that something caused the ignition fuse to blow. The car starts and runs, but now it won't clear up. Just misses real bad all the time. I double checked all the spark plug wires and they were correct, even though some of them didn't want to snap on. The car is throwing a SES light and the code is for the Electronic Spark Control or something. The code is only thrown with this program though. Do I need a new program, or is something else going on. I'm getting tired of messing with this thing. I have a dyno proven cam, but can't get the numbers I should and it just won't run the way it should. It is real hard to start and likes to die at stops. It was actually more reliable with the old Hotcam tune I had in it before. What should I do??? These damn tunes keep costing me money some way or another.

Thanks,
Benji

Re: Bad Misfire

I appreciate the offer, but the damn thing is a little over an hour from your house. I had to store it at my girlfriend's house while I'm away at school. I would just drive it, but it runs that bad, where I don't even like driving it more than a mile or so. I'll have to wait 2 weeks before I can look at it again.
