Replaced the batery with an optima, car was running fine how ever the voltage wasnt that great with a whole bunch of stuff on. Today we had a real bad storm and I noticed the needle was dipping in the yellow, enough to the point were I knew it wouldnt restart, sure enough, turn the car off and then try to turn it back on and no dice. My guess is the alternator is shot?

check all your ground connection and battery terminals that they are all tight, if they are sure sounds like your alternator took a dump which most likely drained your battery which is a very good idea of replacing it again with the new alternator. good luck
