Backfiring an indication of bad o2 sensors?
Re: Backfiring an indication of bad o2 sensors?
Well how many miles are on the O2 sensors? Could be those. Could be bad plugs. Could be a number of things. Need more info to help diagnose your problem.

Mine backfired when the inside insulator of my TR55 developed a hairline fracture.
I swear the Opty had gotten gutted and flushed out but that was not the case It was but one plug and man.... She was backfiring really bad.
Check your plugs.. with a magnifier glass if you have to.

Re: Backfiring an indication of bad o2 sensors?
Well im wondering if it is a normal thing or if there really is s problem. It only does it in 1st gear when slowing down. (When i have my shifter in 1st). It seems like it could just be that that the gas in the pipes hasn't leaned out yet or something.
Re: Backfiring an indication of bad o2 sensors?
Is it a hard backfire? or is it just the pipes popping? They will do that if you wind it out.
Mine pops, crackles, and gurgles really well above 3 grand if im decellarating, it sounds mean
