dude, dont make us wait a couple months for track times! GET TO THE TRACK NOW! haha.

That was with it locked, we only did it once, the very last pull.

Unlocked it made 441 RWHP, the converter will stall 3500 on the foot brake and flash to 4300, right where my tq peaks.

Like you said, #s are nice but they don't always tell the whole story. And you'll get some track times to see where the car runs. But it would have been nice to know those were locked converter #s in the first post.

You cant get a dyno sheet like that with an unlocked converter, can you?

On Ed's dyno with it unlocked the tq curve went down because the converter is so loose. It looked kinda weird.

Why would it have been nice to know the numbers were with a locked converter? I'm not disappointed, a pumpgas 23* headed 383 making 540 or so HP at the flywheel is pretty good if ya ask me. There is more there trust me...I am going to enjoy it a while and change some things.

Ed told me on a newer dyno it would make 475RWHP locked no problem, suits me just fine for a 4L60E and a 4.11 geared 9 inch rear.

Very nice looking dyno man. Nice fat curves that should get you where you want to be. And no you cant get that dyno sheet with an unlocked converter...just not gonna happen. Shounds like your converter us just about perfect and should shooot the car out of the hole. With your shift extensions and that fat hp curve it should run like a raped ape up top.

Once again..very nice setup.

yeah its cool. I kinda fugured it was. just was curious, and to see if Ed locks converters. possibly there is a difference there between mustang and dynojets that could hurt a convert/trans if you locked it since the dyno I was on is a mustang dyno.

but like I said, GET IT TO THE TRACK. Id expect very low 11's right out of the box. Im sure with some tweaking and changing shift points and such, you'll eventually get it down into the high 10's.

yeah I think so too, I was thinking 10.80's and probly tweak it from there.

Davide can you not get better fuel? like 93 or possibly some 98 or 100 unleaded? would that help you at all..?

Yep, 440rwhp through a 9" should go 10's outta the box and works its way down from there.

Well what happened was I got some bad fuel from the store in my neighborhood Chevron and did not know it. All Ed has up there is 91, I have 93 here at home.

Im going to try and make it. Have a few friends with rooms I can crash in. Only problem is the next weekend I got to the lsx shootout..then go on a 9 day cruise so its all acording to how things are going.

Sounds like your converter is pretty effecient for such a big converter. I know steves old car made 452 locked but unlocked was low 400s and went 11.2s out of the box. This was on a stock bottom end with a very peaky hp/torque curve so your car should put down considerably better numbers. He was running a 4800 yank.

90% of max torque from 3000 to 6100. Should drive fairly well.

How much idle vacuum did you see?

Sounds like the combination was well put together.

Good job, David!

david, didnt you say somewhere that you were 3700lbs race weight? looked back in the thread, maybe Im getting that one confused here. whats your raceweight gonna be? if you have a super lightened car then sure 10's could happen first time at the track.

No offense was meant. And I really only glanced at your sheet and was just going by the #s. Even with higher stalls such as yours, I guess I'm just use to guys posting their unlocked #s. Maybe I'll have Speed Inc. lock mine up for one NA pull when they tune it for the nitrous in 2 weeks. As I said, no offense here, very nice build. Everything you have done looks great (such as the mini tubs) and well thought out.
