I have heard a couple tranny guys scratching their heads about the spacers and heavier springs that the transgo kit uses in the accumulator. They say it doesn't makes sense to do that because it makes it harder for the fluid to overcome that pressure.
I don't know enough about tranny operation to know what the accumulator does and why the spring/cup pressure makes the difference

I also had one guy tell me to pull both springs out, and flip the cup over and install it. He said that could give break neck shifts...

Personally, I would be weary of the trans go kit. I know lots of people have them, but I put one in and was shift hard like everyone is talking, but 5 months later I was tranny shopping after the case broke around the servo cover....My tranny guy shuttered when I told him about the trans go kit. He used a superior in the new tranny...

Yeah, my tranny is shifting hard, but I am having problems with it. Don't know if it is from the shift kit or something else is wrong, but it isnt working right. Talk to a few tranny guys on here and ask them what they think. But dont spend the $$ on the trick shift, regular tranny fluid will work just fine.

I had mine rebuilt recently and my tranny guy said straight Dexron III.
Dont need any of that funky stuff.
If you install a shift kit (trans go or whatever) I would not mess with shift firmness or anything involving the PCM.
Ed Wright did my PCM tuning and he asked about the tranny and I said yes I have a shift kit and he said then I will leave that alone.
Shift kit should do everything you need as far as shift firmness goes.
Mine won,t chirp second unless I really get on it and thats the way it should be.

From what B&M told me when I bought my stall.....if they found a drop of Dexron in the converter (if I had warranty problems which I did after 2k miles) then they would not cover it under warranty. Dexron has things in it that allow softer shifts than type F...more slippage than in type F which causes more wear.
