Average gains from a CAI??

What was your Gain from CAI? and Does anyone have a dyno graph to prove gains? SLP and K&N all say 15-20, but what are we really getting?

No dyno results, but after I put on my moroso there was a difference. It pulled harder in the upper rpm's. Something like 10-15 horse.

I like LPE's quote 12rwhp on a stock 95Z. That seems reasonable. I'd say that the average is 8-15 rwhp, probably more on strokers and such.

Depends on much extra air the engine can take.

Re: Average gains from a CAI??

The gains are improved with the addition of headers, catback, heads etc. On a stock car I'd guess about 5-10 Rwhp at best, once headers and catback are installed I'd say between 10-15 Rwhp would be seen by putting on a CAI. After heads/cam full exhaust I'd hope you'd already have a CAI on, but if not I'd bet a dyno difference of 20 RWHP wouldn't be unheard of by slapping on a CAI to feed the heads/cam full exhaust combo.
