Cool AutoMeter Fuel Gauge Install....

Ok... I experience the problem that most of you do with the fuel gauge being way off. i was told that if I install a new autometer fuel gauge that would fix my problem. Is this correct? I plan on using the stock sender.

Thanks

I think the problem is with the tank being a v-shape(sort of) and the sensor reads half full as half way up the tank...which isnt have full but about a 1/4 or so full.

Your gauge is fine. Its just the way the sending unit is. I can put 10.00 in my tank and ill be sitting on half a tank, but it usually takes 47.00-50.00 bucks to fill up. yea, Cali gas prices are a B***h!! Im sure when you fill it up, it reads way past full too.
