Autometer Electric Fuel pressure gauge install question

Where do I plug the fuel pressure sender. Both the sender and the back of fuel rail have male fittings, so I'll need a female-female fitting if I want to plug it in there. Is there another place to thread in the fuel pressure sender?

Schrader valve on the rail is -4AN male. Your sensor is 1/8" NPT male. My suggested solution:

-Get an NOS part # 17535 -4AN 90-deg swivel fitting. The 90-deg gets the connection pointed to the side rather than up at the cowl. The "swivel" feature allows you to aim it where you want it, without overtightening - a disaster if you try because the Schrader connection is only "swedged" on and a replacement line is $$$$$$$$$$$.

-At this point, you could just get a -4AN to 1/8" NPT adapter and be done with it... .but this leaves the weight of the sender on the Schrader.... my preference:

-Get a 24" NOS braided hose with -4AN on one end and 1/8"NPT male on the other. This allows you to mount the sender over behing the PCM.

-Get a brass 1/8" NPT male-male connector.

Getting the sender over near the PCM allows you to run the wires through the big rubber grommet behind the PCM. If you have the 3-piece gauge with the little transducer box, it is convenient to velcro that to the bottom of the A/C duct on the passenger side.

Somebody copied my response and posted it on a website (with my permission).... but I don't remember where it is online. I really need to update my "how to" writeups with some of the things that get asked every week or so. I'm just too lazy.....

For the record:
the part number for the 3 foot hose is 3227 (autometer part number), I just got off the phone with Jegs.
