Unhappy Automatic Trans. Problems

I have a really bad problem with my tranny. It won't shift to 3rd. I know it's the clutch that is burning but don't know what is making that clutch burn so bad. This is really bathering me. In the summer it happened like 9 times it finally got fixed but i crashed the car (stupid crash but did used the car for 4 months.) then i used it for 2 months and it breaks again. I'm really mad. Please Help Don't know what to do and it's emptying my pocket. My Tranny is the 4l60E(Or what ever is stock for 94) with a Torque converter, Shift kit, Racing Clutch(put it in first breakage), Corvette Servo(Finally fixed the last breakage) and that's about it.
If u have any good help please HELP ME

it's probably the 4L60E, and I'm a little lost as to the 'clutch' on an auto.

It's not a clutch like in manuals with pedal and all but it's a clucth in the Tranny it's self. It's the way the tranny shift automatically. The tranny press that clutch by it's self.

this may seem dumb, but does it have enought tranny fluid? I've heard of guys gettin a converter and then not putting enought fluid back in it thinking that it is full. just a thought man. I think there was another recent post about a guy burnin up 3rd right after he got a T/C because of lack of fluid.

well, just go outside and check the tran fluid level and see if it is low or not. The T/C holds extra fluid and if your mechanic didn't know that (aka a dumbass) then that could be your problem.

I dont think its your clutch. If it was, you would have problems in almost every gear. Sounds to me like you have a bad shaft inside the tranny. If it is still under warranty I would take it in and have them look at it. Good way to know that a clutch is going bad is it it over rev's itself in most gear and shifts hard or very slow.

FLuid is ok but the shaft might be. The tranny was feeling like it was loose when shifting to 3rd until it finally won't get it. what is does is 1-2 ok then 2 runs good and when it shifts into 3rd and it does shift. It's like putting neutral. It just revs doing nothing. i need to shift into 2nd to move somewhere.

Have you pulled a code? yet another p1870?
Is the shift into reverse delayed?

The next problem will be complete 3-4 clutch failure and, or overheating the converter.

Stator support sleeve issue............

Good luck, hope im wrong.
