I have a SES light come on every now and then...can Auto Zone hook the scanner up and see what code was stored in the computer?

 

Not on a 94 ecu.

Can I hook Datamaster up to it? My brother has it for his Syclone...will that read the code?

 

The Autozone I tried told me they only scanned OBDII cars and the 95 is OBDI. Do any places offer free scanning on OBDI cars?

Be careful believing the Autozone people on code problems. Hell, be careful believing anything they say. There are some gems, but they're few and far between. Make sure you see the code with your own eyes and write it down. I had an SES light that they told me was for a "bad pcm." Wanted to sell me a new one. The problem turned out to be an unplugged MAF that i missed on an Opti swap.

 

If you get the correct version of Datamaster (EE), I think it would work ok.
