Auto meter A/F gauge ?

Ok just got thew meter hooked up and is it suposed to jump around alot ? It'll flash to Stoich and then back down to lean.
Then if I'm at WOT it goes to rich and stays there, but during normal driving it jumpes around.

Is this right.

Yes it is. It is accurate at WOT. There is info on auto meter's site, here's a link: Auto Meter Go into the Tech Tips/FAQ section and click on Air/Fuel Ratio tab.

I thought the same thing when I first installed mine.

Question WOT

I've been seeing the term WOT on here a lot and I'm curious to what it means. I"m kind of new here so I don't have all the "slang" down yet. Thanks

Wide Open Throttle

Don't feel bad, there is still a lot of slang that I don't know.

Resurrecting this thread.

So if under WOT, it is 2 bars in the green, does it need to be leaned out a bit. If so is something that pcm4less can do since I have that already.

Thanks,
Charlie

It's a toy! Basically useless, unless you consider a gauge telling you, ya it's rich, or, ya it's lean. If you are interested in tuning your vehicle, you want, no, make that insist you know what the A/F ratio actually is. Usually, one gets what he/she pays for. In this case, you're getting ripped. However, if you like needles or meters to have movement, then this one is for you. Fasinating meter, isn't it?

BTW, if you follow this forum any, you should know that the oem pcm, factory programed, will be rich at WOT. What else is new?
