i have a 96 and want to pull the 4l60e and put in a stout manual (not a t56) will i be able to hook up the vss?

 

Depends on the transmission. Why wouldn't you want a T56? There's nothing else out there stronger except true race transmissions, which have a host of problems including (but not limited to) the VSS.

What tranny do you have in mind?

The T-56 is a great choice. I used it in my conversion. You can get the entire conversion package for < $2000 from F-body Salvage.

The VSS for the T-56 has a different adapter than the 4L60E.

A t-56 is almost a direct bolt-on. It IS used with Vipers, how much HP are you planning on making?

 

Just a curiousity, what would you need to swap a M6 to A4 because i'm getting tired of the shifting game now, is the cost the same as if you would swap A4 to M6

 

I want to do the same since my A-4 is going out on me. How do you contact F-body salvage?
