attn: everyone who has weld prostar 15x8 rims please help what is the right backspace
i want some weld prostar 15x8 rims and dont know what backspacing would work for a 96 camaro, what backspace should i get for the front 15x3.5 also thanks
You probably want 5.5" BS for the back. I think the 15x3.5" Pro-Stars only come in 1.75" BS.
You are aware that the backs will require grinding the fins off the brake caliper, and the fronts will require a 5/16" spacer to clear the spring clip on the pads, and the big horizontal bar on the steering knuckle that the caliper and pads rests on? And then you need longer studs, because of the front spacer and the use of "extra long shank, mag-style lugs" for the Welds.
With the above BS, the wheels will sit exaclty where
these are. I have 15x10 7.5"BS in the back, so your 15x8 5.5"BS will put the outer edge of the wheel/tire exactly where mine is.
