ATI Damper

What's the part number for the good ATI LT1 damper/balancer? They make several as I see, and so I'd like to know what one everyone runs...

Thanks
Chuck

Alright cool... I called ATI this morning and they said either a 917270 if I wanted steel, or 917268 for aluminum. Both are 7.5", which is what they recomend I run with a stroker supposedly.

Chuck,

I'm running the aluminum ATI in my "slow" Impy.

So far so good.

You know if it is the same part number I listed above for the aluminum? Or do you know if it's the 7.5"? ATI sells several different models for the LT1's.

Naw...they just recently put a package together for the Impala's...so I'm fairly sure mine is a different number.

I think I talked to ART @ ATI. He's very knowledgable. He should be able to spout the number you need off the top of his head. Anyways...you'll definitely need one where you plan on spinning that bad boy.

Yeah, I haven't talked to Art, but I've talked to about 3 other guys there today, and they all basically recomended the same one. So I should be good to go...

Yeah, I'm not going to be worrying about my damper half as much as I'm worrying about my block though I'm sure with some tweaking I could make this thing spin up to 8k rpm. I just don't know if the block would appreciate that too much
