ASM Headers with K-member

I understand that there is some interference between the ASM/RKSport mid-lengths and a K-member. Where is the interference? Can someone describe exactly where the problem is? Pics would be nice, if available.

Y pipe comes close to the K and oil pan. I had to dimple the floor pan at the cat connection. I just added an extra gasket to make some spacing . It all turned out great.

Which headers are you running and what K-Member did you use?

AS&M headers and stock K-member. Nothing hits anything or rattles. You just have to set it in place with the bolts lose set your clearences and tighten up the bolts. I'm going to change it to Like a BMR once I get the time and other things finished first.

Ok, I thought you were using an aftermarket K-Member. ASM's fit no problem on a stocker, that's what they were designed for. However, the BMR K-Member doesn't have the clearance for them. And BMR has no fix planned.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I was wondering about the problem with a BMR or other aftermarket K-member. I know it works with a stock K-member. Where is the problem with the BMR unit? Is it the same with others as well?

I thought you get more clearance when using the BMR K-member. Did someone have a problem???? Would like to know.

I called BMR about this today. The ASM/K-member combination doesn't work according to them. There is interference between the mount and the collector flange. The flange would need to be moved or eliminated on the headers to make it fit.
