asap help! hooker v.s. jet hots, quick Q.

car is in pieces right now, need to get this thing going ASAP.

ordered jet hot longtubes for my 97 lt1. don't have time to go into details right now, but they don't ****ing fit. so i'm going to order hookers...my question is aren't they pretty much the same thing? same tube design and will sound the same? i've read the coating isn't quite as shiney or durable..
thanks for any help.

I think what Jethot did was take hookers design and try to pull the collector closer to the body so they tuck tighter under the car adding some ground clearance. However, in doing so it appears people with shot motor mounts cant get them to fit at all. My hooker LTs fit fine but they rubbed the Kmember till I installed new motor mounts.

Are Kooks out of your price range? I hear they fit like a glove.

your saying jet hot or hookers are cheaper in quality? i've seen my buddies hookers and honestly they looked like crap compared to my jet hots. anyways. going to order my hookers in about 1 1/2 hours. i need the super comps right?

i would have liked to get kooks, but i didn't know my jet hots weren't going to fit so i'm kinda in an emergency "order now, next day ship" situation. and same w/ cash. kooks would be nice though !!
motor mounts are brand new!

The Jet hot are easy to install , just take your time. The flanges onad workmen ship on the jet hot are much better the the hookers. They are both the same design.

Before I shelled out money for another set of headers I would try to figure out why they dont fit and see if its remediable.

they wont fit cuz the collector isn't parallel to the bottom of the car, the collecter is actually almost facing upward a little bit..i've read this is a common problem with jet hots. i'm returning them for a full refund, so i'm really not "loosing" money , just need another 150 or so for the hookers.

Well in that case I'd return them as well. I just thought if it was needing minor clearanceing etc that I'd try to work with them to get the fit.
