Unhappy Arcing with headers and taylor ovc wires how to prevent?

I have the wires installed right and I don't feel like replacing them every week. They are as far away from my headers as possible. What can i do to them to keep them from arcing? The only thing i can think of is buy the 1200degree sleeves but i'm not sure if that will work any ideas??

I have the OVC Taylor setup and ASM headers (some of the worst clearance) and haven't had a single problem in over 1 1/2 years of running like this. As for why they're arcing, I really wouldn't know. Did you use Dielectric grease when you did the wires?? How close is "as far away as possible" from the headers??

Mine arc too and are brand new, lasted about 2 weeks before they started arcing. I don't know how or why but it stinks.

How close are you guys putting the wires to the headers?? Mine are pretty close, but have never caused me a light show. Are the headers uncoated?? Would that make a difference at all??

my taylor wires also not worth the time it took me to install them. they first arched at the boot causing some serious misfires but i got that fixed with some silicone b/c i didnt wanna drop money in brand new wires again. after a few weeks though i noticed they were arching within the wire itself anyplace that they were touching the motor or other wire which meant they werent insulated well at all. taylor wires are definitely lacking the quality of other brands like MSD.

Heres what I did:

Bought some Accel 300+ race wires(8.8mm) universal cut to fit.

Drilled out my OTVC looms a little so they would fit.

Haven't had a problem since.

BTW-My POS Taylors had only 1000 miles on them when I had to replace them.

Moroso's sleeves are the best. They'll take a 2300deg shot....I run 'em. No problems.
