Anything else possible besides IAC?

When I press in on the clutch my car will not go back down to idle until I come to a complete stop. Now I checked the IAC with a meter and did exactly what shbox shows to do on his site, and everything is good. Would this mean it is not dirty and also not sticking? If so is there anything else that can cause my car to do this? Thanks for any help.

How high does it hang? Mine sticks at 1500 until a complete stop and has done that since my dad bought the car new in 1994. Later

Sometimes the TB shaft and hardware wears out.. Mine is liket his and you can actually push on a part of the shaft and the idle comes down.. kinda hard to explain.

The PCM is programmed to keep the idle high until the VSS reads "0"...... unless its an unreasonable high RPM, its supposed to work that way. 2,000rpm would be excessive.

Yep. It's the rpm vs speed table or something like that. I edited mine to idle lower, quicker. It still stays revved on occasion(mostly open loop it seems) until I come to a complete stop. I just haven't had the opportunity to go back and tweak it some more.

When I cleaned my TB, my RPM started hanging. I dabbed some oil on the butterfly shaft where it meets the body and that cured the hanging issue.
