anyone who has worked on power seat...come in!

my friend's camaro has a power seat like most of our cars. well, she's dumb so she let her large, careless sister drive her car for a week. apparently the careless sister slipped on ice getting into the car and jammed her knee on the power seats controls, causing them to be all whacked up. the little joystick is what's screwed up, constantly making the seat move (burning up the motor) so i pullled the fuse. now how do i go about fixing this? is the entire powerseat mechanism going to need replacement? or can i just buy a certain GM part to fix it?
it appears i'll have to remove the entire seat to even attempt to disassemble anything. please help, this friend of mine is a babe and tends to be quite nice to me when i fix her cars.

I have some what of the same problem. my switch only goes back and forth but when I got the car it was in the highest seating position. so what I did is take the power lines of of the up and down motors and put the line that worked being the front to back motor and up and down to get the seat all the way down.
then put it back on the front to back. What Im saying is until you can get the new switch you can make the seat go back and forth by moving the wires to the correct motor.

I would think a switch would fix it. GM PART # 22543666

A parts book does not hurt, either.

Well I wouldn't give it away but I wouldn't be looking to get rich either, what did you all need?

actually i'm not sure what i need. i think just the switch, which i'm guessing is the "joy-stick" like control. i'll probably call a dealer and see what the price is on that part number Shoebox gave me. if it ain't much i'll just make her buy a new one so we don't have the worry of it going bad. but if it's expensive i'll either pull it off my wrecked 94 z28 or email you and work something out.
