I have routing in the stock locations right now with magnecores, no problems until a week or so ago (put them on ummm 2 months ago?) i popped the hood at night and could see some arching when i reved it...but i was pretty drunk so ill check again and let you know. BTW stock routing is a bitch to do especially on the passenger side

Re: Anyone use factory plug wire routing on Pacesetter LT's

i am using factory locations. i just put boot covers on ALL the wires. only problem to date was a burnt wire on #5(i believe, maybe #6). that was after a long 1.5 hour drive. this wire was right next to the primary(by the flange)though.

other than that, no problems, and running like a champ. even when i use nitrous

Re: Anyone use factory plug wire routing on Pacesetter LT's

I used my stock routing and the only one I had problems with is the number 5 or 6 wire (3rd one back on driverside), it was touching the header but i put some thermal sleeve on it and so far it's been fine. It's time though for a wire change so I want to go OTVC also. Any suggestions for OTVC wires, I want to get them in either red or black.

I did stock wiring and #6 will get you.

I got about 30 miles to the boot. Just get the ovc wire and forget it.

Re: Anyone use factory plug wire routing on Pacesetter LT's

I was using the accell wires for an OTVC routing but they are a year and a half old and are starting to arc so I was going to use a factory set of wires for now and was just waondering if there were any tricks to make them last. I think my setup may work. I pulled them away from teh headers and ziptied them to he motor mounts and then ran them forward so we'll see

Re: Anyone use factory plug wire routing on Pacesetter LT's

Ive always run stock locations with both hookers and pacesetters and havent ever had issues. On the drivers side tuck everything against the block under that heat shield. On the passenger side route the back cyls behind the oil dipstick and zip tiw them down. Then run everything under the accessory bracket up front and to the opti. All good.
