LT1 Based Engine Tech 1993-1997 LT1/LT4 Engine Related

Anyone upgrade your brakes? Either w/Baer or LS1?

You could concievably use the guide I posted. All the brake kits have similar installs, except where I was cutting and modifying and then reinstalling a spindle, you are installing a whole new spindle. Thats really the only way the instructions differ. Beyond that, you could use a Haynes manual.

Wow, tons of great replies. Thats the other thing that I forgot to mention. I'm running Ceramic pads, have been for awhile now, and I don't really wanna switch because I love the zero brake dust and zero squeal. So maybe an LS1 upgrade might be my choice? Would it even be worth it to upgrade to say the best Baer kit and still use ceramic pads? I dunno, even if i had the best brakes in the world, if they made my wheels black in a day, you can keep em. At least maybe til i'm 30 and have the time and space to wash them everyday.

Very happy with the LS1 brake upgrade here--very noticable improvement. I'll probably try better pads next--using new Autozone rotors & pads now after the stock LS1 rotors warped in no time.
