Anyone run aftermarket rockers with stock valve covers?
Anyone run aftermarket rockers with stock valve covers?
I had to cut the valvecover (vc) supports to make enough clearance for my comp promag rockers. I've been fighting leaks ever since. I've tried to torque the vc down more and more but leaks just the same.
Anyone figure out a way to stop the leaks?

LT4 composite valve covers, worked for me without modification. You could've only trimed the supports, no need to cut them completely to clear the promagnums.
Re: Anyone run aftermarket rockers with stock valve covers?
How much did you hack out to fit the Pro Magnums in? All I had to do was take the web off on one side of each support tube. No leaks at all.

I removed the webbing and the tubes, regretfully. Would like to avoid buying new valve covers. Might have to go with some new stockers...

Just cut away the web on one side.... do NOT remove the tubes. Check Shoebox's Tech Pages for photos. You also have to tweek the baffle for the PCV vent tube connection, and I believe he has that how-to on his pages.
