Unhappy anyone from OHIO want to help on my cam install?

this cam install sucks! who designs a timing cover that in order to get it off the front of the engine you must also drop the oil pan? oh, yeah that's GM for ya. if there is anyone around here who finds this cam install easy, please enlighten me and come help me. i would be forever grateful and could offer a little bit of cash!

Warsaw, Ohio. It's down around Coshocton, Ohio. If you're from Canton, it's about an hour and 15 minutes south. just take 77 to US36 and i'm about 35 minutes up US36.

i've got everything tore down to the timing cover. i've even got the driver's side exhaust manifold off and the bolts out of the passenger side exhaust manifold, for the header install. it's taking so much time since i've never done anything like this before. NO ONE in my area has touched an LT1 car, let alone pop the hood so I don't have any mentors to have help me.

If you wanted to complain about that design you should have started in 1955. I don't see where lowering the front of the pan is that big of a deal.

ok, so i guess it wasn't too bad, assuming i can re-use the stock oilpan gasket and not have to totally remove the pan--then i'm really gonna complain!
had to jack up the motor to get the exhaust manifold out anyways so it was not too much extra work.
anyways, the old cam is out and the new cam is about to be installed in a few minutes
