Thanks! I am getting ready to have a race shop build the bottom end of my 396. Just looking for a good stroker kit. I have already purchased some AFR 210 LT4 bare castings for the setup.

 

Let say I went with fully ported LT1 stock casting and intake how much HPs and track time would I see with my 373 10 bolt and my fully forged motor. Here my motor setup- oh also I'll be on a 150shot wet

I am putting down 430 rwhp 417 rwtq with my 383 with AI ported LT1 castings. I have only had it to the track a couple of times with a best of 11.86 @117. I do have a high rpm miss that I have to track down, so the times will be better once I fix that and finish with the set up on the car.

 

2.08 in my factory LT4 heads from Lloyd.

 

My best friend ran ported stock castings with 2.02/1.60 valves on his 95Z 383 and 306 cam. Ran consistant 11.7's N/A and 10.80's on a 150 shot. Was running a 12 bolt Mosier though with 3.73's. I can safely say that with your setup you can kiss the 10 bolt rear goodbye. It will explode. Probably sooner than later. Seen it too many times on setups less than yours. Good luck

I'm putting out over 400rwhp from stock ported castings and a 700R4 tranny. Don't know the exact # because the opti crapped out at 5200rpm and I was already over 400rwhp. Power peak should be at 6500rpm.
