About 2 nights ago, my check engine light comes on... There seems to be nothing wrong, my car is driving fine. I checked to make sure my o2 sensor is still on my y pipe, it's there. Yesterday tho, i noticed that my engine temperature was staying the same.. it was @ 195 while i was driving and also when i was just sitting at idle. This isn't supposed to happen, the lt1 goes up to 210 @idle.. I realized my fan was on all the time, driving and at idle. I don't have any idea what is going on, and i cannot get to the shop til later on in the week. I called the guy @ the shop i go to and he said it wouldn't hurt to be driving it... Has this ever happened to anyone???? Thanks, Grant

 

well all i can say is get it scanned and get the code that's causing that SES light, otherwise there's nothing any1 can really do to help. Autozone does it for free....and your fans are on all the time b/c the computer is in limp home mode b/c of whatever's causing that SES light.

 

sounds like a bad sensor somewhere most likely nothing major. get it check as soon as you can but you should be fine if you caint get it scanned untill then but like Terran2k said take it to autozone.
