i have a 88 gt mustang,with a 302 roller motor,and since my 3rd gen camaro caught fire,and i have a 6speed just sitting here,was going to maybe install it in the mustang,if at all possible,anyone know what all it would take?thanks for your time.
p.s. for you guys that the first things out of your mouths are,this is a board for camaros/firebird,just dont even say it,and move on,i have 3 camaro's,and a mustang,and they are what i want,not you,and there for dont waste my time,or others saying something stupid...thanks alot.

I believe there is a kit you can buy to make the T-56 work on a 302. It will require a kit, it won't just bolt up.

 

does anyone know where to look for the conversion kit?thanks for all your time.

i would imagine you would need some type of kit as well. a T56 is a T56 just like a T5 is a T5. the trannys themselves arent any different then the ones that go in ford vehicles, its bolting it up (bellhousing) that will be different.
