ANYONE know how I can fix this stupid nut?

My damn retaining nut keeps coming off my rocker arms...so I cant drive the car a few miles without it coming off and rattling around. So I put TWO on there...same damn problem. Someone told me to take a hammer to it and tighten it up..and ive tried that a few times.

Do you guys know if the dealership actaully sells these nuts for my LT1? Or have another idea? The second nut I put on there is the one that came with my 1.6 RR kit for my hotcam. It seem alot looser than the stock one on there for some reason.

Im taking it to ocala next weekend to get my lt4 hotcam installed..but until then I would love to be able to drive my car! Any ideas?

Can you actauly take the studs out without cutting them out? If so, how? Its pretty hard to see in there if you know what I mean.

Thanks guys.

They screw into the head I believe. There should be a hex nut on the bottom of the stud.

nut

If your studs are good you might try special nuts with a set screw to lock them in place.they may not work with stock valve covers though. Jake
