Anyone have a Trick Flow aluminum elbow with a K&N CAI?

Hey guys, I have to replace my torn intake elbow, and I plan on doing it with a Trick Flow elbow, that way it won't tear. I was just wondering if any modifications need to be done to the elbow or K&N CAI to get it to fit.

Thanks, Keith

As long as the MAF sensor hasn't moved it shouldn't be a problem at all. You'll have to drill a hole for the optispark vent tube, but it comes with the little rubber grommet you need. Just don't try to stick the grommet in till you're sure it'll fit, mine is almost ripped now from cramming it in there. And the air temp sensor doesn't like to go in all the way. But overall quality was good and went in fairly easily. No more duct tape around my stock elbow (it was pretty bad).

With my vortech elbow, I had to grind the ridges off the air temp sensor to make it fit properly.

I got my Trick Flow elbow for Christmas and the K&N CAI was my first mod a while back. The elbow went on with no problems. I drilled the hole for the vent plug or whatever, but that was it. In all, I spent about 15 minutes. Simple and easy. Just make sure you get them on there straight and aligned with the TB and MAF and get it all on there tight.

I have the Trick Flow elbow and K&N CAI also. Everything fit together perfect. I also drilled and tapped the elbow for my NX shark nozzle.
