also, will my bowtie 1.6 roller rockers tuck under them? what about other brands of roller rockers, in case I decide to switch? ANY input is helpful, even if it is negative. I don't want problem pieces. hehe.

Well, I've never tried these valve covers...but, don't LT1's have a "dent" in the passenger side valve cover to clear the alternator? I don't see that in the pictures on eBay. Maybe the "dent" on my valve cover is an oops from the previous owner.

actually, all three have the dent in the front of the passenger cover, I already checked. So yeah, you do need it! Good eye though, and thanks for the suggestion!

Oh, well, that'll teach me to not study the picture. I've looked at those valve covers for a few months now and never noticed the dent...so now your question goes for me, too; cause now I want them again!

HAHA, yeah they are set up right, but I thought I remember hearing about someone who bought them and the weld was porous on the dent, and it leaked oil. A search brought me nothing, so now I want to see if anyone is running them successfully. Now two people want to know so help some fellow f-bodiers out!!

I have them, still had to grind the alternator slightly, also had to clearance them for Comp 1.6 rollers. They've been on for a couple of years with no leaks.

I bought standard short style covers for centebolt heads, just clearnaced the front of one with a grinder and did some cutting on the alterator, now it looks awesome. Flames engraved into polished billet, looks a hell of a lot nicer than flat black stock covers.

I have some LPE billet valve covers (don't fit no more ) and from my experience they are high maintanence to keep the brilliant shine.
What was suggested to me although I never got it was Eastwood's Nylic which I believe is a clear coat spray and durable to engine temperatures.

I had some polished ones from eBay and found them to be too much of a pita to keep spiffy looking. I switched to LT4's...

Re: anyone have these valve covers?

On the billet ones... I've had to machine the supports out of the inside of those covers on my mill.

On the LT4 ones.... I just dropped them on a motor yesterday and had no issues with fitment at all.
