Question Anyone have problems putting on timing chain?

I was having problems tonight putting on a new timing chain and new upper cam sprocket.

When ever I got the chain and sprocket on the dots wouldn't be lined up properly. When the dots were lined up, then I couldn't get the sprocket on the dowel pin.

Any ideas?

You just have to line it up and play with it. You will eventually get it to go on. Double check the dots when you finally get it on. You can try rotating the cam CW a little, so the dowel is closer. Slip the cam gear on the dowel and then push up to rotate the cam CCW back in the right place. Have your bolts handy to start threading in.
