Anyone have any problems with SLP clutch?

I just put a SLP clutch in my car. Whenever i get on my car the car vibrates really bad. I took it back to the shop and they said the clutch was slipping. Not a kind of graduall smooth slipping but like it was slipping and then trying to grab and slipping again. Normally i would call BS but the tires don't spin and you can smell burnt clutch pretty bad. Said it was probably caused by a faulty PP.

It also has tons of TO bearing noise. More than any other car iv'e heard.

I am going to call SLP today and see if they will help but should i get another one? Mods in sig

thanks
Shawn

Did you resurface the flywheel when you did the clutch? If not, I bet thats why its slipping.

I have had SLP clutch, pressure plate and flywheel for quite some time with no real balance problems. Seem like quality products to me. I'd suggest getting back to the basics...

sounds like a warped flywheel. Did you break the clutch in right? I have no problems with my SLP setup.

I have sort of the same problems you do. My throwout noise is extremely loud. I sucks to try to have a conversation in my car with the windows up and the radio off because of all the damn noise it makes. I don't have the vibration problems your haveing though. Let me know what SLP says about it though.

well i talked to SLP today and of course they have every reason inthe world why it's not their fault. After arguing with them for a while they said i can send them the clutch and they will inspect it and then let me know if they are going to credit it or not. I will let you guys know how it come out with them.

In the mean time i am still looking for answer as to my vibration problems.

Thanks
Shawn

Not to say that your problem is their fault, but SLP has a reputation for poor customer service. My experience with them has reinforced that reputation and I won't be buying any more stuff from them in all likelyhood.
