Anyone have any pics of slotting the tps?

I did a search and just came up with a description of what to do. I was wondering if anyone had any pics of what part needed slotted and how much. I'm getting ready to install a holley 58mm tb. Thanks for any help

PS should I try and find a new tb to intake gasket for the holley or will silicone work just fine. If i should get the gasket where can I pick one up at?

Joe

i maybe wrong but i believe you just slot the holes of the TPS sensor so that way you can turn it one way or the other to get the correct voltage.

That's pretty much it. How hard can it be? Dremel, rat tail file, Grampa's whittlin' knife...

LOL shoebox you look like you don't have any patients for some of these questions anymore.

Nahh, it just seems with a little common sense you could see that the sensor holes need to be made bigger, so that it can have some movement. How it is accomplished is not too big of a deal. Though, I can understand the need for explicit instructions at times. I'm not trying to berate anyone.

I guess since the tps sensor isn't sittin in front of me its kinda hard to picture when yall say slot it. I'm sure the process will be easy I'm not worried about that or the tools to do it with, just trying to make sure I'm doing it right so I don't have to buy a new sensor. Thanks

I'll make it as easy as possible for you. Here's a quick detailed write-up I made in Paint. Took several hours...

After you've slotted the TPS and aligned the tangs on the inside of the sensor with the butterfly shaft, monitor the voltage of the TPS and rotate the actual sensor on the side of the throttle body until your desired voltage is seen, then tighten down the screws. This makes your TPS adjustable.

It's important to first monitor the TPS before you remove it from the old throttle body.
