Anyone had an electric waterpump go bad?

car never went over 200* on the hottest days (florida), 170* while driving.........but it always said low coolant.

Bring the car up to operating temp with the radiator cap off. When the coolant warms up and the thermostat opens, look into the radiator. If the pump is running properly, you will see a steady stream of coolant come out of the return line at the neck of the rad.

The thermostat doesn't have to be open to see the flow of the pump. The car can be cold and with the key on you should see the flow at the top of the radiator.

Argh this is really irritating me!! I have bled this thing about 4 times....... Every time it will get hot, boil the coolant and create more air pockets in the system!!

No obstructions in the front of the radiator.

There's got to be blockage somewhere. I bought some prestone super flush, does anyone know if this stuff is any good?
