Anyone got a Z06 MAF to work on an Lt1 yet?
Re: Anyone got a Z06 MAF to work on an Lt1 yet?
To find out if you have any sort of intake restriction hook up a vacuum gauge and go for a WOT blast or you could look at datalogs. The old rules were if you had 1.5" with a street carb it was a restriction and .5" for race applications I think those rules are a good enough guideline here. It is then just up to you to figure out what is the cause of any restriction the motor is seeing.

Look at MAP and set it and BARO to read in in.hg. then do a WOT blast and you want the MAP to be withing 1.5" of Baro. Baro is atmospheric pressure, MAP is Manifold Absolute Pressure. Ideally at WOT the pressure inside the manifold would be the same as outside but really a pressure differential is what causes flow so there will always be some difference just want it to be as little as possible.
