ANyone ever have problems with PCMforLess tuning?

Hey guys I have been having some issues with my car and cannot find the problem. I have a crappy idle, run bad times at the track (for my mods), and have replaced a number of sensors. To put my problem in proportion, I lost .4 tenths, and 3 mph going from Mac shorties and stock programming, to Hooker long tubes/mufflex, and PCMforLess.com mail order tuning!!! tell me that doesnt suck. I am getting a code for P1133 which means "H02S insufficient switching sensor 1/bank 1 fuel control shifted lean"

I replaced the front 02 sensors with new GM parts, I have always been running 02 sims for rear sensors, I have new NGK TR55 plugs, new Taylor 8mm wires, coil works perfectly, new fuel filter, and swapped opti out yesterday with no change. What is causing my car to run so poorly? I was thinking about going to dealership to get a stock re-program flash see if that does anything. Has anyone ever had a problem with PCMforLess tuning? I have read nothign but great things on them.
Let me know what you think about my situation.
Thanks

I gained .3 and over 3mph in the 1/8 with just a PCMforless tune. No problems there. The only gripe I have is it's kinda hard to get in touch with him after the sale. I contacted him about looking at some datalogs of my car to see if he could tweak the tune any, but he never got back to me. In any case, hope you get it fixed.

Could it possibly be faulty O2 Sims?? I haven't had a problem at all with PCMforless tuning.

You'll find a couple of people out there who have had problems with their AF ratio being off. That is usually with aftermarket components like larger injectors and/or they are using an FPRegulator or something else that makes it very difficult to tune without being on a wideband.

In your case i would highly recommend that you check over the car first. Nobody is perfect, but i can tell you the majority of the times when someone doesn't see the gains they expected it is because there is something physically wrong with their car and not a problem with the tune.

good luck,
-brent

I have been meaning to write them an email about this, i dont want to sound like a complainer, just to see if they can do anything about it.
I first got the chip, put it in, made no difference at all. Took my car to the track last weekend, car was doing horrible, best with the chip in was a 13.390 @ 102.03. I knew it was a tuning problem. Took the chip out and immediately ran a 13.25 @ 102.75. Still not what I was hoping for but it did much betterI have exhaust)no headers) cai, pulley, 3.73's and 2600 stall.

I havent looked into the rear 02 simms being bad, but the code im getting doesnt have anything to do with the rear 02's does it? said bank 1/ sensor 1, and Byran at PCMforLess also confirmed this. he said its either a bed sensor or burnt wire, but I just replaced the front sensors and the code came up again. For some reason the left side is getting alean reading. Could there be an actual problem such as bad injector or something else along these lines? anymore input on this?
Thanks a lot

Have you checked for an exhaust leak on that side, ahead of the 02? If it was sucking air in, the 02 would see it as a lean condition and the PCM would add more fuel making your car run crappy.

You MPH are pretty similar, so I wouldn't put the blame on the tune just yet. How much of a difference was the 60ft between the two? Did you do a before and after test on the same day? But just looking at those times seems to tell me that you got better traction.

Thumbs up

Alvin, at PCMFORLESS, burnt my chip from the info I supplied to him by e-mail. My car hasn't even been on a dyno yet, but I've went a 12.25 @ 111 MPH with his tune. This is a full weight, mid length header, 95,000 mile stock bottom end car with a completely stock suspension, and full exhaust.

I don't have any complaints, and if the times are proof, neither does the car...LOL

I've had issues with the engine running extremely rich at idle on 2 different setups. 950mV O2 voltage. However, when I dynoed the car, the A/F ratio in both cases was near perfect. I think PCMForless does a good job.

check the extensions for your o2 sensors... it could be a possibility that one of the extensions has burnt on your headers or become cut??? check everything buddy, and good luck.

Hello,

This is Alvin, I do all the chips for pcmforless.com.

I usually don't like to talk on this board because we are not advertisers but I just wanted to let you guys know that if you have any problems with the tuning just let us know and we will do our best to fix it.

Also, neither one of us has anyone to answer phones so alot of phone calls go missed because we are talking with other customers, tuning cars, or working. Just leave a message and we will get back with you.

In your case, I would suspect the wiring harness that runs down the inner fender has been baked threw. I've seen it a few times on cars with hooker long tubes. Even though the O2 sensor wire(s) are covered by a heat shield they can bake. I've even seen them bake all the way threw the wire.

OH and Frank, awesome times!

Look for a intake leak in the rear.
