Alot of people just say, O its good for 5. But I really have never seen a actualy dyno before and after of just the TB on a bolt on car.

On a car making about 420 rwhp the 52mmTB was replaced with a 58 (just happened to be mine) and it picked 6 hp. But that was with a car already making 420.

Try a "search" on the ProjectTansAM LT1 bulletin board. There was a guy there that dyno'd before and after on a fairly stockish motor and lost 10HP with the 58mm TB. Was a couple years ago, though.

I have a ported heads/HOT Cam car with all the bolt-ons. I swapped from the stock 48mm to 58mm BBK right at the track and picked up a tenth and one mph. Later, a dyno showed an increase of 12 rwhp.
