anyone dyno with a cm 227/233 cam yet?
I keep hearing about this cam, but I have yet to see anyones dyno sheets. If anyone has spun the rollers with it yet what kind of power does it make and with what other mods? Also anyone have any timeslips with this cam?

Locally done heads regretfully for which I have few specs. Dyno numbers in the sig is with the heads and CC305 cam. I installed the CM 227/233 cam with CM single springs and new 7 degree locks. They are working fine so far but I really wished that I had went for different springs. I also have Jet Hot LT's, and pretty much every other bolt on. I have a Moser 12 bolt with 4.11's and the times are with 26.5 x 10.5 ET Streets on some TA stock wheels. I also have front-skinnies on some Welds that I also use at the track. Weight of the car with me in it is approx 3650lbs.

I have the 227/233 cam and hit the dyno a couple of days after installation. The dyno numbers probably aren't as good as you are hoping for, but my car still has some issues that aren't worked out yet. My dyno numbers were 351hp/332tq and my major mods are in my sig. There is definately something wrong with the car somewhere, but I haven't figured it out yet. It pulls pretty good, but the dyno numbers aren't there. Also, the cam is crapping out at 6200rpm. It just stops pulling at that rpm. It WILL NOT pull any higher.

I'm only going by my stock tac but my cam seems to be pulling very strong until I hit the rev-lmiter which I believe is set at 6400. It revs much faster than the CC305 and the stock tac just doesn't keep up - thus the rev-limiter problem. I really want to shift at around 6200 - 6400, but that isn't easy because of the tac. I'm going to get my rev-lmiter set a little higher by the pcmforless guys and get a shift light set at an optimum shift point once I've had it dynoed again. I'll let you both know.

I have this cam on stock heads but no dyno numbers yet. Like 93ZM6Tally said it pulls great above 3K or so untill the rev limitor. I'm not even going to guess what I'll put down because it will just be wrong . I'm interested in your guy's numbers as well so make sure you post your results. I'm hoping to get my car dynoed soon but I couldn't tell you when. But anyway its a great cam to get IMO

This is directed to everyone else in the thread who is running this cam. Do you have a lot of cam surge with yours? I know mine has a lot of surge occasionally. It isn't bad all of the time, but sometimes it is very "moody" on light acceleration. Also, it seems rough at highway speeds of 55-60 or so. I must have some type of problem somewhere. I just can't find it. Assembly wise it is all correct and I have PCM reprogramming. However, the dyno numbers are a little low and it stops pulling at 6200rpm.
