Ellis runs the GM847 cam with an auto, he has made some good #s. I know that he doesnt have problems with cam surge. Hopefully he'll drop in.

I have quite a bit of cam surge below 2000rpm. However I have a an M6 and I'm not sure how much tuning was done in the lower RPM range. I simply keep the revs over 2000rpm when I'm cruising below 35mph where its most noticable. From what I hear, it takes a while tuning, but you can get rid of cam surge even with the GM847 cam.

LPE ...... I live in Berne..40 miles south of fort wayne. I go over to purdue every once in a while to party with one of my friends. I just wondered if you were a student...( guess not). I would bet that you are dealing with cam surge. Mine did the same thing after my cam install. Im used to it now. I just have to keep the RPMs up like the guy above does. I really doubt it is is ignition problems.
